We cannot thank Milo and Patricio (and all the support staff at the Academy) enough for the outstanding relationship they have formed with our son in helping him from high school student to college athlete. The overall journey has exceeded our expectations and has been one of the most rewarding relationships in the life of our son and our family. Not only were they instrumental in the transition from high school to college tennis player, but also in developing non-tennis life skills including work ethic, accountability, and encouragement. As parents, it was a such a blessing to be able to trust and hand over to Milo and Patricio everything tennis related so that we could wholly support our tennis player as parents and not as his manager/agent. Words are not enough to express all that Milo and Patricio have done for our son and our family related to his tennis journey. We are so fortunate to have them as part our team and could not have accomplished what has taken place without them.

I thought about it for a long time, but I really wanted to try it: training at the Antonio Valdés Academy. I've been training in Kiel since February and it's really fun. Antonio Valdés puts a lot of emphasis on technique, which I think is very important. But it's also a lot of fun. I train with a lot of friends who I met at tournaments and who have become amazingly good. That spurs me on. The fact that my coach sits on the sidelines and encourages me and gives me tips on how to improve after the match also motivates me a bit. He doesn't just talk, he asks me why I played the way I did and what changed in the second set. He's never asked me questions like that before.

At the tennis academy Antonio Valdés run by Milo Quiroz, the coaching staff complements each other as they are all hard-workers and goal oriented. Also, each player has a customized plan tailored to their personal skills and qualities. For me tennis is a way of living and that’s something I find at Milo’s academy. One of his many strengths is his knowledge about the mental aspects of tennis which I expect to benefit from.

Meeting Milo is the best thing that ever happened to me. I really enjoy working with Pato, Erwin and Milo. Sometimes we have to work very hard, but it's good for my tennis! I've worked a lot on my concentration with Milo and now I can concentrate better on the game.

The best thing that happened to me in 2016 was meeting Milo, Erwin and Pato. It was almost too good to be true. I became part of a real team. For the first time in my tennis career, I felt like someone really cared about me and believed in me. I feel more complete on the court when I'm fighting for my goals. I'm also in better shape and my footwork has improved.

Milo, it has been a pleasure working with you. During the years we worked together, you taught me discipline and a plan that we both committed to. I now understand that it's all about hard work, no matter how much talent you have, you need to work hard off the court. Thank you for helping me grow.
