Coach
I started playing tennis at the age of 6, inspired by my parents, who had recently returned to the sport. Their enthusiasm, sparked during the era of Boris Becker and Steffi Graf, fueled my early interest in the game. Outside of tennis, I enjoyed playing football in my youth, and nowadays, I stay active by going on regular runs.
My professional tennis journey began during my childhood when I competed until the age of 13, even earning a spot on the Schleswig-Holstein Tennis Association’s squad. However, from the ages of 13 to 18, I took a break from the sport. At 18, my passion for tennis was reignited, and last year, I decided to start sharing my knowledge by becoming a coach at Antonio Valdes Akademie. I am currently pursuing my C-Trainer certification with the Schleswig-Holstein Tennis Association, which I am set to complete in September 2024.
At the academy, I coach at both the SVHU and TAF locations, where I train young children, teenagers, and adults of all skill levels. My teaching philosophy focuses on making learning fun and engaging by incorporating playful exercises rather than traditional drills. I believe this approach helps students improve their technique in a more enjoyable way. I work closely with Niklas Albrecht, who has been my long-time coach and mentor. Together, we strive to contribute to the overall success of the academy.
The most significant influence on my tennis career has undoubtedly been my parents, particularly during my youth. They supported me in every possible way—financially, emotionally, and with valuable advice. My father, especially, accompanied me all over Germany for tournaments. Besides my parents, Roger Federer has always been a huge role model for me.
